A group of dialysis nurses petitioned the Administrative Court to revoke the Ministry of Public Health's announcement.

a group of approximately 30 dialysis nurses, who have worked for more than 10-30 years, filed a lawsuit with the Administrative Court to request consideration of revoking the Ministry of Public Health’s (MOPH) announcement dated February 11, 2025, which requires Level 1 nursing and midwifery professionals to undergo hemodialysis training from an institute certified by the Nursing Council.

As a result, kidney nurses who completed the hemodialysis training under the old curriculum were not registered as hemodialysis replacement therapy nurses because the Nursing Council did not certify them. This affects the work of this group of nurses and may affect kidney patients nationwide if the dialysis rooms are closed due to a lack of legally certified personnel.
